Located in the heart of Des Moines’ historic East Village, Walnut Creek Downtown is a thriving Christ-centered community with a place for you. Our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ who love and worship God drives everything we do.

Our weekend worship services at Walnut Creek Downtown are engaging, challenging, and filled with hope. Come as you are and be sure to visit the Welcome Center because we have a gift for all first-time visitors!

What to Wear

Clothes. But seriously, wear what you're comfortable in and you'll fit right in. We try not to get hung up on things like this.

Music

Our bands play a variety of modern worship music and updated hymns. We really try to make our time of singing together truly Christ-focused and powerful. The lights are low and the words will be on a large screen behind the band for you to sing along. Music has always been an important part of our church, and we think you'll be encouraged by what our team puts together each week.

What to Expect

Our services tend to last 70-80 minutes. Since you may find yourself meeting a few new people and wanting to chat, plan for an hour and a half. Our teaching is Gospel-focused, biblical exposition that is culturally relevant and worthy of note-taking.
